FAQ

Where is my data stored?

Your data lives on secure servers in the United States. It is encrypted when it moves and when it sits. Your bank password is never stored by abda.

abda stores your account info, transactions, and settings in a secure database hosted in the United States. All data travels between your browser and our servers over HTTPS, the same encryption your bank uses.

How your bank connection works

When you link a bank, we use Plaid — the company that powers bank connections for apps like Venmo and Robinhood. Plaid handles the login with your bank. abda never sees or stores your bank username or password. What we get from Plaid is a special token that only works for abda, and we encrypt it before saving it.

Do you use the cloud?

Yes. Our database runs on Supabase (backed by AWS) in the United States. This is a common, secure setup used by many financial apps.

Can anyone at abda see my data?

Only a small team of trained engineers can access production systems, and only when needed to fix problems or help customers. Access is logged and reviewed.

Is my bank password stored anywhere?

No. Plaid handles your bank login. abda never sees your password, and Plaid does not share it with us.
