Earning with surveys
Surveys live on the Earn page and pay points when you complete them. Unlike most offers, there's a fresh supply every day and you can take as many as you like. Being screened out partway is a normal part of surveys — it means that survey wasn't a match, not that you did anything wrong.

Open the Earn page and scroll to the Surveys section (or select the Surveys filter chip).

The first time, you'll answer a few quick profile questions — things like age, household, and work. These are used to match you with surveys you're likely to qualify for.

Pick a survey — each card shows the points and the estimated length.

Answer honestly and consistently. Survey providers include quality checks, and inconsistent answers can end a survey early.

When you finish, you're sent back to abda and your points credit automatically.
What's a Screenout?
Every survey is looking for a specific audience — say, dog owners in their 30s who shop online. The first questions check whether you fit. If you don't, the survey ends early: that's a screenout. It's the most common way a survey attempt ends — across the industry, most attempts don't match — and screenouts don't credit points.
What helps:
- Keep your profile complete and up to date — better matching means fewer screenouts.
- Answer consistently — screening questions often overlap with your profile, and mismatched answers end surveys early.
- Try several — matching is partly luck, and the next survey may fit perfectly.
Do I get anything for a screenout?
No — points are only credited for completed surveys. Nothing is deducted either; you can move straight on to the next one.
How often are new surveys added?
Continuously — the list refreshes throughout the day, so it's worth checking back. Which surveys you see depends on your profile and the studies that are live.
What happens to my survey answers?
Survey questions and answers are handled by our survey partner and the researchers running each study. See What data do you store? for how abda handles your data.
